Autumn is here, which means it’s time once again for the annual Spokane Is Reading event.

Librarian Corinne Wilson of the Spokane County Library District—as well as a member of the Spokane Is Reading organizing committee—joins us to talk about what’s in store and, among other things, how their group selects the featured titles.

This year’s book is the novel One Two Three by Laurie Frankel. Corinne gives a brief overview of the book’s plot and its themes before shedding some light on the kinds of conversations that Spokane Is Reading hopes to foster.

Frankel herself will be in town for two in-person events on October 7, 2026 —one at the Spokane Valley Library, the other at the Spokane Central Library.

The SCLD is also hosting a tie-in Fall Community Art Show titled “Art and The Environment” between October 5 and 30.
