This week, we’re joined in the Rogue Heart Media studio by Ashley Demoville and Claire Rae Edmo.
Ashley is the Dean of Visual, Performing and Applied Arts at Spokane Falls Community College, and Claire is the second and current sƛ̓x̣etkʷ Artist-in-Residence at SFCC.
Ashley sets up the programmatic side of things by talking about the relatively new SFCC Fine and Applied Arts building and how this residency program for Indigenous artists ties into that.
Then our focus shifts to Claire and her art. The recent University of Idaho grad sheds light on a few representative pieces from her portfolio, her use of different media and what she’s hoping to do during this three-month residency.
