Our guest this week is Nathan O’Brien, founder and longtime showrunner of the Lilac City Comicon.
In 2026, the comicon is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The two-day event runs on June 6 and 7 at the Spokane Convention Center with hundreds of exhibitors, a huge cosplay contest and lineup of guest stars like Tara Sands, who voices dozens of Pokemon characters.
Nathan talks about the evolution of the ‘con over the past two decades from a small-scale event with 300 attendees, a single Stormtrooper and, believe it or not, Margot Kidder as its very first celebrity guest.
