It’s the start of Pride Month, so it’s fitting that this week’s guest is Gatieh Nacario, who designed this year’s Spokane Pride T-shirt.
Beyond T-shirt design, Gatieh is the visual artist behind many public and private murals as well as the new North Monroe Business District banner (pictured above).
He’s also the founder of Kultura de Filipino Dance Company, a dance troupe that specializes in preserving and performing Filipino folk dances.
Gatieh talks about his work as a cultural dancer, actor and painter, including how he developed the stained glass illusion that’s become part of his signature style.
